While you film

It is already watching, so Finish has almost nothing left to do.

01

Framing and faces

Every scene is scored for composition and for who is in it. The frames where someone is actually in shot are the frames that survive the cut.

02

Motion and settle

The second and a half where you were still finding the shot is the second and a half nobody wants to watch. Moments detects when the camera settled and starts there.

03

Speech

When somebody is talking, the music ducks underneath instead of over the top, and the cut protects the sentence rather than landing in the middle of it.

The rule that does not bend

Your day, in the order it happened.

Moments will shorten a scene. On a hard floor, a shot too dark to use or a smudged lens, it will drop one, and it will tell you which and why. It will never reorder them.

An automatic editor that shuffles your morning into a more exciting morning has made something that did not happen. Every trim is listed, and every one of them can be put back with one tap.

Music

Sixty tracks you are allowed to post.

The music in Instagram and TikTok sounds better than anything we could license. It is also why your video gets muted the moment it travels somewhere else, and why Moments will never touch it.

Every track here is owned outright or licensed under terms that cover the person using the app publishing a video with it in. That distinction rules out most of the stock-music industry, and it is the reason the catalog is what it is.

Privacy

There is no cloud, because there is no code that could reach one.

Moments has no account, no sign-in, no analytics and not one network request in the whole app. The analysis runs on the Neural Engine in your hand and the render runs on the media hardware next to it. Your footage leaves the phone when you share it, and at no other moment.

Questions

The things people ask.

What does Moments actually do?

It is a camera that edits. You film your day in scenes, pausing between them, and every pause becomes a cut. When you press Finish, Moments scores each scene for framing, faces, movement and whether the camera had settled, then places those scenes on the beat grid of a track you chose. You get a finished, music-cut video without opening an editor.

Is it a video editor or a camera?

Both, but the camera comes first. There is no timeline, no clip library and nothing to drag. The decisions an editor would ask you to make afterwards are the ones you already made while filming, by choosing when to pause.

Does my footage get uploaded anywhere?

No. The app contains no networking code at all. Analysis runs on the Neural Engine in your phone and the render runs on its media hardware. There is no account, no sign-in and no server. Your video only leaves the device when you share it yourself.

Can I post the music to Instagram or TikTok without a copyright claim?

Yes, and that is the point of the catalog. Every track in Moments is either owned outright or licensed in a way that covers you publishing a video with it. Platform music from Instagram or TikTok sounds better but gets your video muted or pulled when it travels anywhere else, so the app will never use it.

Will it reorder my scenes?

Never. Chronology is a hard rule. Moments will shorten a scene, and on a hard floor like a shot that is too dark to use it will drop one, but it will not rearrange your day into something that did not happen.

What if I disagree with a cut?

Moments shows you exactly what it trimmed and why. Press Put it back on any of it and the moment goes into the video. The video gets longer to make room, running the music to its next musical end point, and no other scene loses time to pay for it.

How much does it cost?

The app is free and the free tier is the whole product: every length, every cut style, full 1080p, no ads and no watermark on your footage. It comes with three tracks and a short Moments end card. Moments Pro is a one-time $9.99, not a subscription, and it removes the end card and unlocks all sixty tracks.

Is there a subscription?

No. The catalog is either owned outright or used under Creative Commons Attribution, so it costs nothing per user and there is nothing to charge rent for. If music licensing ever became a recurring cost, it would become a separate pass alongside Pro and every existing Pro buyer would keep what they bought.

How long does it take to make a video?

Seconds, for a normal session. The analysis happens while you film rather than after, so by the time you press Finish most of the work is already done.

What do I need to run it?

An iPhone running iOS 26 or later. Moments is iPhone-only for now.

It edits itself.
